I-Load is an ASP.net component explicitly created to manage image uploading within ASP.net applications. Unlike other image manipulation libraries, I-Load uses a sophisticated graphical interface which allows the uploading, resizing, cropping and rotating of photos.
For the programmer, the primary advantages of using I-Load are:
- The ability to configure constraints such as: image sizing (width-height), file size (bytes), format or aspect ratio of images to upload.
- The ability to configure the component to automatically create one or more customizable thumbnails.
Client side: I-Load is cross-compatible with most browsers. It does not require installation of any ActiveX component or Java Applet, it only requires Adobe Flash Player version 6 or higher (usually already installed on most PCs).
Server side: I-Load consists of .Net Framework code (written in C#) compatible with .Net Framework versions: 1.1, 2.0, and 3.5). It does not require special permission to install. Just copy the library into the bin directory of the Asp.Net application. I-Load is also compatible with non Full Trust Asp.net environments, as well as Medium Trust Asp.net used by many hosting providers. |
